How can I help my Christmas cactus thrive this time of the year?

this is the time you need to water it march through November Christmas's cactus need more water during the hot summer months .Also try to hang or place your plant in the same location cause it is true that once it blooms and you move it the buds will fall off I have two and they are hanging from the ceiling this way when they bloom it is fantastic ,i would try some cactus fertilizer for the summer months .in winter cut back extremely on the water do not over water cause they will rot stick your finger all the way down into the soil to see if it is completely dry do not test on top of soil cactus will rot very quickly if over watered

How can I help my Christmas cactus thrive this time of the year?
Put it outside in a sunny, but not direct sunlit place or on the porch and water it when it gets dry. Now, here is the secret to lots of blossoms in the fall or winter--Leave your cactus out until the first frost, in a sheltered place. I read that they like to be nipped by the frost. I don't mean to let them get the full blast of it. I first did this 4 years ago and had spectacular flowers. You also know that they flower best when pot-bound, right?
Reply:put lots of water in it
Reply:Put it outside, away from direct sun light, and bring it back in before the first frost. You will have nice blooms by Thanksgiving. I just love these plants, and I always have good results with this method. I live in the North=East.
