While at the Christmas tree farm today I noticed they hace cacti planted in with the cactus, any reason?

So, both were growing in the ground?

Maybe they want the option of selling cactus as well,

either for xmas or a later date.

Another possible reason is for security against human thieves and animals.

If the cactus are tall and have thorns-

strong, sharp, numerous etc. (get the point!)

It's as good as having barbed wire.

A family friend of mine had trees stolen from his farm every year, probably at night.

The thieves would do a poor job of cutting the trunk.

I'm really not quite sure how to answer that question....maybe because a cuctus in its plural form is cacti.
Reply:Cacti planted with the cactus? I guess cacti like to be planted among their own kind. Did I misunderstand your question?
Reply:Isn't that the same thing?
Reply:Cacti is plural for more then one cactus im pretty sure, so that would be why yep.
Reply:Umm, isn't cacti plural for cactus?
Reply:They do have Christmas cactus that look wonderful when they bloom, maybe it was that.
Reply:um, isn't cacti just the plural of cactus?
Reply:idk report it into the police
