Will christmas cactus bloom again if it buds drops off?

So your Christmas Cactus had buds, then suddenly dropped off. This is an indication that the plant is stressing which you probably already surmised. Therefore, there are water, temperature, fertilizer, light, or insects. Which would you pick? You have observed the plant for some time or you recently received it. All plants when they are in bud, they are in good condition. If you possibly fertilized the plant, thinking that the food will help them bloom, then that was a mistake. The fertilizer caused the buds to drop, shocking the plant. It will not bloom again real soon. It will take several weeks or months, if conditions are optimum. They like some bright indirect lighting.

Cacti and succulents grow better under stress..not much water and not any fertilizer
Reply:Bud drop can be caused by anyone of several different conditions. Usually it's because of over-watering, lack of humidity or insufficient light.
Reply:Christmas cactus bloom each year.

If the buds drop off then it can be do to over watering but also if the plant has too many buds then it will shed a few.

You must remember though that as soon as the buds form do not move the plant. If it moves then the buds will twist towards the light and then fall off.
Reply:yes they do I have 2 of them and they bloom twice a years.
Reply:Yes....I have had one for years and it keeps blooming every year, just water it once in a while and give it filtered sun light......Good Luck!!
