Why is a christmas cactus a magnoliopsida?

Magnoliopsida is a big group of plants to which all flowering plants are classified. Schlumbergera which is the genus name of the Christmas cactus produces flowers under periods of longer darkness (winter months), hence in the Northern Hemisphere it is flowering during Christmas, hence the name. As a flowering plant it therefore belongs to the Magnoliopsida.
