Reply:I don't think that they are cactus pears. 1. Zygocactus are not true cactus. 2. In 35 years of growing them, I have yet to see one set fruit.
I believe that they could be new leaf growth. If you give it a couple of weeks, I think it will look more like a leaf/stem segment.
